The act of lucid dreaming requires some simple tricks. I use this one from Carlos Castenada's Dreaming techniques. When dreaming try to look for your hands. Easy enough, hah? But once you do you will be able to take over your dream world. Then you will open a new door, a door to unlimited experiences.

Now after years of trying to look at your hands some night you might just get lucky. Okay hopefully it will happen again. Here is a simple trick to get into this state. Tie a string around your finger. Really. Your dreaming mind is no different than your conscious world. The string around your finger will only be a reminder to look for your hands, (which is only a reminder to take control of your dream state).
